In-app tour: “Templates Overview”.
Templates control how trades are copied, and there are three types:
- Copy Method — how to size copied trades.
- Instrument — which instruments to copy.
- Risk Management — daily P&L limits.
Templates don’t do anything by themselves — they take effect when assigned to Account Groups (or set as global defaults in the Settings tab).
The templates list. All your templates appear in the left grid, grouped by type. Select any template to view and edit its settings in the right panel.
Creating a template. Click the Add Template button and choose the type: Copy Method, Instrument, or Risk Management. Each serves a different purpose; see the Copy Method, Instrument, and Risk Management guides for details.
Deleting a template. Select a template and click the Delete button. Two rules: you cannot delete a template that is currently assigned to an Account Group, and the default Global templates cannot be deleted at all.
Editing. Every template has a Name (its identifier), a Description (notes about its purpose), and its type-specific settings. Tip: click the ? inside a template’s General Settings section for detailed in-app help on that template type.
