In-app tour: “Instrument Template Guide”.
Instrument templates control which instruments (symbols) are copied from leader to follower. You can selectively copy only certain products or exclude specific instruments entirely.
Naming. Name the template for its purpose — “Futures Only”, “ES and NQ Only”, “All Except Forex” — and use the description field to document your selection criteria.
Available Instruments (left panel). This lists every instrument the copier knows about. You can filter by name to find specific products, filter by type (Futures, Forex, etc.), tick the checkbox to select instruments, and mark favorites for quick access.
Assigned Instruments (right panel). These are the instruments that will be copied — only assigned instruments trigger copy operations. If an instrument isn’t assigned, trades in that symbol are simply ignored. The panel has its own filter, and each entry has an Active checkbox (see below).
Moving instruments. Use the arrow buttons between the panels: → assigns the selected instruments, ← unassigns them. You can select multiple instruments and move them in one go.
Copy Template Override. The dropdown above the assigned list lets you attach a specific Copy Method template to this instrument group, overriding the global one for these instruments only — useful when different products need different sizing. Click X to remove the override and inherit through the template hierarchy.
The Active toggle. Every assigned instrument has an Active checkbox: checked means it’s copied, unchecked means it’s skipped. This lets you temporarily disable copying for a symbol without removing it from the template.
