Connect NinjaTrader 8

Install the ETP add-on, prepare NinjaTrader 8, and connect a running NT8 instance directly to ETP Trade Copier.

A NinjaTrader 8 connection lets the Trade Copier communicate directly with your NinjaTrader platform. This requires the ETP NinjaTrader Add-On to be installed inside NT8.

Prerequisites — before connecting, make sure:

  1. NinjaTrader 8 is running.
  2. The ETP Add-On is installed (see Help tab → Auto Installers for the one-click installer).
  3. The Add-On is enabled in NT8.
  4. Your NT8 account is connected to its data feed.

The Add-On creates a local connection between NT8 and the Trade Copier.

Connection Name. Enter a name such as “NT8 – Sim Account” or “NT8 – Live”. No username or password is needed for NT8 connections — authentication happens inside NinjaTrader itself.

Troubleshooting tips:

  • NT8 must be running before you connect.
  • If the connection fails, check that the Add-On is enabled.
  • Restart NT8 if the Add-On was just installed.
  • Multiple NT8 instances require separate connections.
