Connect to Rithmic
Configure credentials, server, and gateway settings for a Rithmic connection used by supported brokers and prop trading firms.

Rithmic is the connection type used by most prop trading firms, including Apex Trader Funding, TopStep, Earn2Trade, and many others. Rithmic connections need a couple of extra settings beyond the basic connection settings.
Credentials. Enter the username and password provided by your prop firm (e.g. Apex, TopStep). Note: your username is NOT your email — it’s usually a specific ID the firm assigned to you.
Rithmic Server (also called “System”). Select the server that matches your prop firm or account type:
- Apex — for Apex Trader Funding accounts.
- TopStep — for TopStep accounts.
- Rithmic Paper — for Rithmic demo accounts.
- Rithmic 01 — for live Rithmic accounts.
Rithmic Gateway. Choose a gateway geographically close to you for the best performance — Chicago for the central US, Aurora for the northern US, Europe for EU connections. Geographic proximity reduces latency, and if you experience connection issues, trying a different gateway is the first thing to do.
Before you hit Connect, remember:
- Connections have a 30-second timeout.
- If the connection fails, try a different gateway.
- Some prop firms have specific server requirements — check your firm’s documentation for the correct settings.
